With more and more digital artwork being created and being shown in galleries, the swing of acceptance for the viewers of art has started to spread.
Even 10 years ago people would walk into a gallery and not see that much digital artwork and when they did it was greeted with confusion and passed over, this was mainly due to the non-understanding of the viewer, but more so with the rise of digital social media people have started to become more understanding and their education of the digital artwork has grown and acceptance has increased.
Just how we are accustomed to mediums such as painting and sculpture the medium of digital art is becoming part of the staple artworld in galleries and museums around the world, this is helping to increases the understanding and education of the form.
But still it is seen as confusing and alien, this is mainly when it comes to the accusation of digital art and the collectors of the art world, digital art is not obvious to many collectors of how to display, let alone the technical aspects of the conservation of the artwork, from storage, to upkeep, to digital progression and even to loaning from collections to and then again the display of the work.
Then comes the authenticity of the work, the validation of the creation by that artist, that this work, this digital file is the actual creation by the artist and is the only one or in the case of editions your actual edition number with no reproductions.

But with the rise of new technologies the issues of ownership, authenticity, copy protection etc will soon be a thing of the past, using the blockchain platform, digital artworks will be able to be traced back to their creators, their current owners and will be forever accessible with no physical upkeep worries from things such as DVD or file degradation or even from loss due to physical damage such as from fire.
The works are stored on a decentralised platform so with no one being able to create a monopoly of art and putting and giving more power of ownership and recognition to the artists and so promoting creativity and freedom of expression with the world of digital art.
with this new security, it will promote more work and help with a greater understanding of the medium, thus helping artists with collectors and buyers.
This new platform will give an easy way to display artwork through any screen that the owner wants, the showing of artworks outside of collections and the loaning to other institutes with instant accessibility and authorisation, all the while helping the artist and creating a smooth process for everyone involved in the digital artwork and helping to show and bring digital artwork further along the path of a medium of the art world.
